"I came to Dr. Arnold in severe pain, highly skeptical, but highly desperate for some kind of relief. The range of motion in my shoulder and neck was so limited that it seemed my whole life was on hold. My first visit with Dr. Arnold revealed how being rear-ended in a motor vehicle collision a month before had severely impacted every aspect of my life. The tears came down when I described my depressive state and continuous pain, especially in my right shoulder and neck. My primary care physician told me that same week that I would need shots in my shoulder, continued physical therapy, and maybe even some type of surgery on my shoulder. Being a registered nurse, I knew that all of these treatments had horrible consequences, including more pain. I had already had adverse reactions to the muscle relaxers and my physical therapy prescribed by my PCP. First of all, Dr. Arnold made me feel safe with his knowledge and assessment abilities. He was thorough and kind during the initial visits. After taking several x-rays, his staff could begin teaching me gentle exercises and monitored my response to them closely. By then, I knew I was in the best of hands! Within 1 week of treatment, including a special technique Dr. Arnold used on my right shoulder, I felt so much relief. The day he first performed the "stripping of adhesions" on my shoulder, I was in shock over the instant pain relief and ability to move my arm normally again. I felt so great that Dr. Arnold had to warn me not to "overdo it." At that point, I thought of all my patients who had suffered pain and painful treatments and how this doctor could help so many of them. I tell my coworkers and my clients about my experience with this wonderful doctor on a daily basis. Now, not even a month later, I am back to going to the gym to workout.
